What a great weekend

This weekend was great. The boys spent the night at a friend's house, so Joe and I had the house to ourselves Friday night. Plus, we got to sleep in Saturday morning. Then I got to go to my secret sister revealing party and gave my gift to Kathy. It was so much fun. She had NO idea. It was great fun to see her face. Her husband was telling me yesterday that she was so tickled that it was me and she had NO idea the whole time. I guess she usually can figure it out, but not this time. It was great.

Saturday afternoon the boys worked on their homework a bit and then headed to my friend Robin's house to pick her up and drop the boys off with her teenage son to babysit. We headed to Paradise ballroom and learned the night club two step. It was a blast! We are going to miss next month's dance because it falls on Memorial Day weekend when we will be camping (Yeah!!!)...but we hope to make it to the June dance.

Sunday we went to church for 2nd service and then taught the little kiddos during 3rd service. Then we had lunch with my friend Stephanie who I haven't seen in about 8 years. It was a lot of fun. Her husband is super nice and it was good to catch up with her. After pizza we headed to Walmart and finished our garden shopping, then we went home and worked on the yard in the beautiful sunshine. It was so great to be out soaking up the rays. Zan even helped me wash the car. (It wasn't done perfectly...but not bad for a first try.)

Overall, a great weekend and I can't wait for the next one!!!

Is it still Monday????

SIGH.....

ahhh....

A three day weekend. How lovely.

It was so nice to be able to sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast. Today the boys and I are going to dye Easter eggs and have an Easter egg hunt (since they will be with their dad this weekend.) Joe and I might go to Jeruselem cafe tonight for dinner. We went there a few weeks ago and feel in love with it. They serve mediteranean food there and it was great plus the atmosphere is awesome.

Tomorrow Joe and I are headed up to see his parents for lunch and they are giving us a lawn mower and a BBQ. It is very nice of them and will save us from buying a lawn mower...plus we will enjoy having a BBQ.

Our new house truly feels like home now. I am really good we found this place. It seems to be a perfect fit for our family.

Please pray for my parents. My dad got dehydrated and his blood pressure dropped dangerously low earlier this week. He was hospitalized for a day and they told him to cut back on the Pepsi and to drink more fluids....unfortunately he has heard this before and doesn't stick to it for long, so prayers would be appreciated. Also my mom is having issues with her medication and depression. Please pray that her doctors will find the right mix and that she will take them regularly. She doesn't like having to take meds (who does?) but she really needs them to be mentally healthy...so please pray for that too.

Thanks all!

Our move

Our move went well. We moved about 95% on Saturday and finished cleaning and moving the last few things on Sunday. Now we are in unpacking mode...but we are close to finished with that too. Mostly we just have books to put away and a few nick-nacks. This weekend or next we are going shopping for a washer and dryer since our new place has hook-up but doesn't provide the appliances. I love our new neighborhood. It is very quiet and has quite a few kids for the boys to play with. This morning was so peaceful with all the birds singing. I am really going to enjoy it there. In fact, this weekend I saw a hummingbird right outside my dining room window. That was quite a treat.

Moving day!

Yep, it is here. Everyone wish me luck on my move. We have the U-haul ordered and friends coming over...it should be smooth. (although the U-haul lady yesterday was RUDE and I hope she isn't working when I go pick it up) Other than that everything is going just as planned.

Love you all!
