Thanks Sheila

Well, here it is...the frustrated picture I was talking about yesterday.

Butterbeer

Harry Potter fan I am! I got this great recipe for Butterbeer (Thanks Christina) and I tried it out last night. Yummy! Here is the recipe in case you want to try it too:

Butterbeer
1 cup cream soda
1/2 cup butterscotch (ice cream topping
1/2 tbls. butter

Put butterscotch and butter in 2 cup pyrex and microwave for about 1 minute (until bubbly).
Stir for 30 seconds then add the cream soda (it fizzes quite a bit). Stir until mixed and enjoy.

It was definitely different. Sweet, warm, kind of fizzy...

Round N Round We Go!

Yep...the package that should take 1 hour...is over two at this point...I am hoping it won't turn into 3 hours. I am not sure my patience can handle much more!

Frustrated!

Okay...Sheila had these cute cards for Isiah to help him with his feelings, one of which (his favorite) was frustrated...well, right now I could use that card. I am working with this lady (who is quite sweet) but is not understanding ANYTHING I am saying. I spent 20 minutes explaining a 30 second piece of paper...and I still didn't succeed. I had to ask my boss to come over and explain it. She has now been explaining it for 10 minutes...who knows how much longer this will last....

grrrr....frustrated....

Weekend Update

I had a jam-packed weekend. The kids all went to Dusty's house so Joe and I were home alone:) We watched a good movie, "Greenfingers", which I had never heard of...but it was great. It is set in England in an "open prison" where a few of the inmates choose gardening as their "job" while in prison. The end up really having a knack for gardening and get inviting to the most exclusive gardening show. It was really great.

Joe and I also went over to his apartment and got a few more things to move into our house and went to WalMart for a few things (like a new laundry basket and a honeydew candle). We rearranged our house a little and cleaned out the garage on Sunday. We also went to a great BBQ with my friends from Warner (although only a few people came, it was still a lot of fun). The food was delicious, steaks and ribs with potato salad and some great cherry cheesecake for dessert.

Saturday morning Joe and I also went to the Shane Company...which was a blast! I would SO recommend it if anyone out there needs a ring. They have great service and make the whole process a lot of fun. We picked out the most beautiful wedding set. It is white gold with a beautiful ruby set inside it. Joe is going to pick it up later this week. I can't wait to see it all put together. The saleslady put the stone in while we were at the store, but it just isn't the same as seeing it all official:)

Well, I must get going. My desk of files is calling my name...

Wonders never cease...

Well, Dusty actually IS going to have the kids this weekend. Although I am taking them over and bringing them home...oh well...it will be worth it for Zan to be a little happier for a while. Unfortunately, Dusty said he is working most of the weekend, so they won't be spending much quality time together, but I think it will do Zan some good to just be in dad's presence for a while.

TGIF

Yes, Thank Goodness It's Friday! This has been a long week! Not quite sure the whole reason, but I am tired! I think a lot of it has been all the stress from my mom and the fact that Dusty is an idiot and is breaking Zan and Alexis' hearts. Yesterday he called Alexis back and invited her to come over this weekend (said he was going to pick up the boys...we will see)...but then said, I would need to take the kids over there since he didn't have a car to transport them. Now, unlike a normal person, he has not asked me directly...in fact I haven't heard from him in two weeks. So, I have no clue what is going on (as usual...I HATE THAT!) I don't even know where he is living at this point. For all I know...he is living in Salem again with his mom.

Poor little William went to the dentist last night and had to have a tooth pulled. Hopefully he is almost done with all this dentist stuff. He is quite a little trooper.

It was nice having the weather a bit cooler last night. I had a nice bath last night which was very relaxing. The kids had a TON of energy and were still awake at 9:30 even though they were in bed a little after 8:30.

I think Alexis and I (and the boys if they are around) are going to go swimming this weekend at Wilson Pool. It sounds really cool. It has a slide and a current pool, plus it is a lot cheaper than North Clackamas Aquatic Center. Even if the boys come, it will be less than $10 for all of us.

Tomorrow night Joe and I are taking the kids to a Beaver's baseball game at PGE park. I can't wait. It should be fun. The boys loved the games we went to last year and general admission is only $7, plus I have two coupons, so two of us will be free.

Happy Day:)

Today is going by SO fast. I just got back from lunch, which was great. I took my sandwich to Pioneer Square and listened to the concert while I read another chapter of the new Harry Potter book (which is GREAT so far). I am leaving work early to take little William to the dentist. He had a crown put on a tooth and it has been hurting him ever since! Poor little guy:( It will be nice to be home a little early today too. The kids played on the slip n slide last night to get cool, so we might run through the sprinkler for a while after the dentist. Lex is going to Neka's house tomorrow for most of the day and my mom might be picking up the kids for a few hours to visit my grandma and my aunt (who is visiting from Nevada.)

This weekend is the BBQ from Warner! I am excited! I am even making my mexican dip...yummers! Unfortunately, one of my best friends from school isn't going to make it...but as far as I know everyone else we be able to make it. It is going to be great to see everyone again...and they get to meet Alexis for the first time. The boys will be able to come if Dusty doesn't end up picking them up this weekend (so who knows about that...)

Busy Bee

Yep, I am a busy bee today. I have been going since I got here. The nice part is that my day is going by quickly. Sure is hot though! It is even warm inside, which in my book it much better than being too cold. Tomorrow will probably be cold in here since the air conditioning will probably be on all night and will overcompensate...oh well...just need to remember a sweater tomorrow.

Out of the mouths of babes

Yesterday I was driving with the boys and out of the blue Zan asks...what are "tits"...after recovering from my momentaty shock I told him. He then replied, "Why are there so many names for them." LOL I just about laughed out loud. Try to explain an answer to that question:)

Chocolate covered gummi bears

Yummy! I went to WinCo last night to do some grocery shopping and picked up one of my favorite snacks...chocolate covered gummi bears. Yum Yum! The first time I heard of them I thought they sounded gross...but after trying them I was hooked!

nothing much...

Well, today has been pretty uneventful. I got up today and took Zan to summer school. Then I came home and watched some of the movie I started last night with Joe. Then off to work...which has been productive, but not exciting in the least. So, that being said...not much is going on.

Working...working...working

Yep...that is right...working away on a Saturday. At least I get some free pizza and I have a chance to get my desk cleared off for Monday morning. Joe came to work with me today so he could work on some paperwork from his job. Later today we are going to get the boys (Yes...Dusty cancelled on them again...sigh...) and we are going to do some shopping. Tomorrow we are probably going to go visit Joe's parents up in Washington, so that should be fun.

Finally Friday!

Yippee! Although I have to work tomorrow:( It will be nice to sleep in tomorrow:) I don't work until 10.

This morning Sharon brought in fruit and bagels for breakfast...yummy! A nice healthy breakfast. I have yummy leftovers for lunch today too:) I brought the leftover BBQ steak and a potatoe. Yummers:) I still have some Chinese food in the fridge too if I am still hungry.

Well, I must get some work done...adios!

Presents...

Well, my buds at work all got me a massage at my favorite spa. Woo hoo! I can't wait:) After camping last weekend I could sure use it...although I am camping again later this month so maybe I will schedule my massage for some time after that.

Birthday Flowers:)

I got some pretty, very good smelling flowers, from my buds at work. The bouquet is almost bigger than me. I can't even see the door. They are so pretty:)

Plus, I ordered some new mousepads from Debbie's mom (Debbie is my birthday twin...Happy Birthday Debbie!) and she brought them in today:) They have my name and all three of my kids. They are both really cute. I just need to decide which one to keep here at work and which one to take home...

My Birthday!

Happy birthday to me...
Happy birthday to me...
Happy birthday dear Teresa...
Happy birthday to me....

Well, today I got to sleep in because Joe got up and made me breakfast (blueberry pancakes and bacon...yummy) and got the boys up for me. William came to wake with up with a Happy Birthday Mommy...it was really cute.

When I got to work this morning, Tanya greeting me with a happy birthday song and Michelle did her own version of a happy birthday song a few minutes later. Sure is good to be loved:)

Just realized...

How great...not only is tomorrow my birthday, but it is also PAYDAY!

How lucky can a girl get?

One more day...

Yep...one more day until my birthday. Woo hoo! I am going to be a whopping 27 years old. My parents are coming over for a BBQ dinner tomorrow night. They are picking up my favorite steaks...yummy...yummy...yummy. It should be a fun night. The weather is supposed to still be nice, so we can eat outside if we want and enjoy the last hours of sunshine.

Weekend Update

Well, all I can say is my weekend was the best! Not only was it three days, I also had an absolute blast!

We left in good time on Friday around 1pm and headed towards Pullman. We stopped in the tri-cities for dinner (which ended up taking FOREVER because we let the boys run around at McDonalds). The run around McDonalds was supposed to get their enery out...but it didn't work. I really thought they would fall asleep at some point, but they stayed awake for the whole trip and we didn't get to Pullman until around 8. We spent the night at Joe's sister's house. They have a nice house, which used to be an old farm house. Very homey feeling. The boys were amazed because they don't lock their door to their house (or their vehicles for that matter) and the boys have always lived in the city...so this is very foreign to them. On that note, when we got to the campsite in Northern Idaho on Saturday we were unloading the van and Joe had the keys on the dashboard in the van...and my kids...being city kids...locked the door to the van and shut it...with the keys inside! Luckily there were some handy guys there and between the three of them they were able to get in the van and saved the day!

The people we camped with were great. Joe's sister and family were there, plus some friends from around Pullman. We were right on the St. Joe river. It is quite beautiful out there. I had only been in lower Idaho, which is very dry, but up north it is quite pretty. Very green and serene. One of our camping neighbors had a few dogs and two of them (I think a mother and child dog) were named Flea and Tick. How funny is that!!

We went on a ride on the 4 wheelers. It was a lot of fun. Joe and I went on one and Eliza and John each took one of the boys. We rode for about 20 miles and some of the views were absolutely gorgeous. On our ride we found an old truck, all rusted and probably from the 30s or 40s, and Zan said, "wow, that is old...I bet it is from the 80s!" Boy, talk about feeling old! It is a good thing I wasn't drinking at the time because I would have spit the water out of my mouth...it was quite funny.

We also went on a boat ride and floated in the river on innertubes. The weather was great. In the 80s during the day, although the nights were a bit chilly.

Last night we got home from camping (7 1/2 hour drive later), had dinner, and then headed to Vancouver for the firework show. It was great. We took the shuttle buses from the Vancouver Mall and we all had a blast. We even had some tasty elephant ears...yummy!

Needless to say...I am tired today!

Excitment!

It is Friday! Woo Hoo! Plus it is July 1st already. I can hardly believe it. In 4 hours and 6 minutes I am on vacation until July 5th. I can hardly wait. Joe and I finished the last of the packing this morning and we are set to go. We are going to grab the boys on our way out of town.
