Happy Easter!

Yeah! It is Easter.

Yesterday we went up to visit my in-laws. We had a tasty brunch and dinner and then had a great Easter Egg hunt. The boys had a blast. Joe's parents gave us their old couch which is MUCH nicer than our 3rd generation couch. It was the right price too!

I hope everyone has a day full of family, friends, and the knowledge that Jesus died and rose again to give us each an opportunity to live forever!

Bittersweet memories

I can hardly believe that today is my last day working at Everest College. I first enrolled there 9 years ago and have been working there 7 1/2 years! Wow! I originally thought I would not be too "emotional" today because I have been so excited about my new job, but last night it started to hit me. I have a feeling some tears will fall on several occasions today. I am still really excited, but I have known some of these people for 7-8 years. Lots of memories...

Jeans...

At Everest...I have always been required to dress either business or business casual. The great news is my new job I get to wear jeans if I want! I will probably wear slacks some of the time, but it will be nice to have the option of being casual and comfortable! I am SO excited!

New Job

I got a new job! God is so great...I was a bit bummed out about the last job, but now I truly see that He was preparing this job for me. The company installs fire sprinkler systems. It is about 15 minutes from home, the pay is great, and the office people are super nice. They describe themselves as a family and I know it is going to be great working with them. I work 7:30-4:30...no late night...no weekends. I am so excited (and the boys are too) that I get to be home more and spend lots of time in the evenings together. I am an adminitrative/accounting assistant. This position is a brand new position, so it has a lot of flexibility of responsibility. I start in two weeks...I am excited...a little nervous since I have worked at the same place for over 7 years...but I know it is going to be a great move for me and our family.

All I can say is WOO HOO!

Sad news...

I didn't get the job at Warner:( I guess it just wasn't in God's plan for me. I am kind of bummed, but I just have to trust that there is something better out the for me. She said it was between me and one other person in the end, but they went with the other person. She said she would keep me in mind if anything else came up in the future...so I guess the job search continues.

Interview #2

Well, my interview went well for the state of Washington as a tax representative…although it was definitely a strange interview.

There were three people giving the interview…and three different candidates. There were six questions…and each one of us answered it…then the next person answered the same question…then the 3rd person. They didn’t even give any time for questions or time to say anything outside of the questions. They hope to decide by the end of the month…so quite a wait.

Hopefully I will hear about the Warner job today or tomorrow…I know they need someone by the end of the month too…
